Sure, it was a Fall Out Boy concert, and it was two years ago, but when William Beckett came on stage to sing one little song with them, the place went wild. I have that moment framed in my living room, courtesy of my best friend who snapped one of the best concert photos I've ever seen. I've been to several tAI shows, and they just get better. Their music is maturing and growing with their audience; I'd see them anywhere.

I have to admit, The Academy Is... was just a band that I had heard a couple of songs from and didn't immediately put at the top of my list, due to the Fueled By Ramen hype. After seeing them perform on the Warped Tour, it changed my opinion very quickly. The crowd was totally in to it, and I couldn't help but be in to it, too! I sure hope they can keep their heads together with this new album and continue to do great things! I would love to see them go farther than they already have. I just hope their heads don't get too big like some of their label mates...

This was probably one of the best shows I've been to all year. The Academy Is... put on a stellar performance that was well worth the twenty measly dollars I paid for the ticket! I sang along, I danced around a little bit, I had a great time bursting my ear drums out with their killer sound, and I even enjoyed driving hundreds of miles away to get this experience. You should definitely see this band if you're interested in some awesome high-school themed pop-alternative.
