Wow, where to start? Over 19 songs (7 with the LA Philharmonic) Death Cab hypnotized the jaded sold out Hollywood Bowl crowd with their unique mix of witty indie rock. Multi-instrumentalist Chris Walla owned the stage, contributing to flawless versions of "Photobooth", "The Sound of Settling" and "Little Bribes". The rhythm section truly held down the groove all night, but was most noticeable on the recent hit - "I Will Possess Your Heart". Of the 7 songs played with the LA Phil the highlights were “Grapevine Fires” and the set closer “Transatlanticism” which featured an impressive arsenal of fireworks being launched from the roof of the bowl.
