marshall tucker band's performance on 10/23/09 at westbury was awesome as always. i catch their show at least 2-3 times a year and have seen them the last few years at this venue. this time they were with charlie daniels band, who's always fun as well. but, mtb rocked way harder. they always play most of their hits, and the musicians are great. the sax player is amazing, who also plays flute and keyboards. also, the lead guitarist with the cowboy hat is incredible. he sounded just like toy caldwell from the original band. doug gray is so kind. i walked up to the third row during can't you see, and i think he recognized me cause he looked right at me and pointed, then threw one of his tambourines, which i'll always have as a keepsake to one of my favorite bands of all time. keep on rockin!

This concert was AWFUL. The lead singer couldn't or didn't sing the lyrics..........had a terrible voice and at one point had to have someone else come to the stage to sing. He had the audience sing, "Can't you see" a million times saying, "One more time...." and pointing the microphone towards us. The band spent a good portion of the night jamming on their instruments. When the lead singer came on stage and said, "We are going to mix it up for you, we're tired of doing the same thing every performance ........I knew right there we were in for a LONG evening!

What a let down! I was looking forward to hearing some good songs from my college years, but it was a total disappointment. I would not recommend this concert.......stay home and listen to your CDs.
